1.2 Formationen:

1.2 Formations Overview:

Know your formations. Each formation has a distinct set of characteristics that will best fit certain battle scenarios. Don’t worry though, while there are optimal solutions, there are rarely any bad choices. Stick with the basics until you feel comfortable with the more complex formations. You can make QONQR a brawler slugfest, constantly throwing one Zone Assault after another at people, knowing that this well balanced attack will consistently wear down the enemy, while providing a decent defense against counterstrikes. More of an intellectual? If so, you can analyze the battle field and select the most strategically beneficial deployments.

Here is an example scenario. An enemy could have a well-fortified zone, covered by many Deflector bots for defense and a small contingency of offensive bots that will fight your attempts to establish your own defensive beachhead into the zone. However, you as an incoming attacker can deploy Seekers as snipers to take out the Shockwave and Zone Assault hiding behind the enemy defense. Once all assault bots are destroyed, you can march all the defensive bots you want in, without being harassed. Do you want to stop the incoming seekers? Deploy seekers of your own. Embedded snipers always have the upper hand when going head to head. So how do you get rid of Seekers already in the zone? Seekers can’t defend against Plasma Beam, because there is nothing to snipe. If you are going into a zone with massive defenses, you can establish a beachhead with the proper attack and counter attack. Once you get your beachhead started, you can use Absorbers to get the maximum defensive beachhead with the least number of bots. Follow that with Hardened Lattice which can double the strength of your small collection of defensive bots. After that, put in some Booster bots to double the effectiveness of your (and all your friends attacks) on the zone. Keep the defenses of your small beachhead as strong as possible to protect your Boosters at all costs. Be sure to keep a healthy dose of your own Seekers in the zone to thwart counter attack and assault bots to stop the big guy in the zone from piling on more defense without dealing with you first.

As you can see, the battle can be as strategic and interesting as you want to make it. If you are a new operative, or traveling to a new part of the world and find yourself surrounded by the enemy, adopt a guerrilla hit-and-run tactic, or find a friendly beachhead and help your faction bolster its presence in the zone.
